About

I am an artist and photographer from Middletown, Connecticut. I graduated from the University of Connecticut's BFA program in May of 2021 and am pursuing my post - baccalaureate art teaching certificate at Central Connecticut State University's School of Education and Professional Studies. 

After graduating from UConn, I held several positions in the arts, such as an auction photographer and administrative assistant for a non-profit that ran after-school and summer arts programs. However, I was unsatisfied in those roles and later recognized that it wasn't just art making that I was passionate about, but enabling others to share in that experience, as well. Realizing that education offers me the opportunity to combine those things, I made the decision to apply into Central Connecticut State University’s post - baccalaureate art education certification program that fall. 

Since then, I have had the privilege to observe and be a part of a wide range of classrooms in a number of different schools and districts. Through student teaching and substituting, I have learned from students, as much as I have taught them, about what it means to be a successful educator. I am passionate about teaching students the joy of creation and seeing them develop pride and confidence in their own abilities.
